Anybody been whale watching in Samana recently?

Just wanted to see if anybody was in Samana for the whale watching season. How was it? And if all the whales were out. Just wanted to hear people input and what they thought of it. Thanks.

Why not go to Mohamed (or the mountain)?

Went with Kim on Wednesday. Very enjoyable and informative trip. We followed two pods, one of which was further in the bay then normal. Judging by the other boat groups there were at least three pods being watched. Left the harbor at 9:00am and returned about 2:30 which is a bit longer than normal. Saw several breeches from a distance and flukes close up.
