I wonder why DR never had a real actual Apple Store but they do but listed as retailed authorized store.. DR needs a actual real Apple store.
The closest to an authorised Apple store is OneClick. There's one in the Agora Mall in SD and Blue Mall in PC.
Brace yourself though. Prices are roughly double what you would pay in the US. I checked out an iPhone 13 pro max. 133,000 pesos!

And how much do you pay a month for those phone calls and texts?I got a re-built burner phone at Claro for $40.00. It makes and receives phone calls and texts. Beautiful.
Price depends on the plan but I pay about $5 for 10 days. Hotels/Airbnbs have internet so I don't use it that much. If I'm outside I use it for Uber and some texting. If you like to stream music and movies while on the bus you'll probably go through 10 gb pretty quickly, but I don't do that. And how much do you pay a month for those phone calls and texts?
I can't remember the last time I made a phone call or text with my phone!I got a re-built burner phone at Claro for $40.00. It makes and receives phone calls and texts. Beautiful.

But for web browsing, emails, banking, navigation, watching Netflix, social media, WhatsApp, translator, Uber, Airbnb, weather, controlling smart devices, bluetooth media streamer, camera, video camera, and playing the odd game, my iPhone works really well.
Can your $40 phone do that?
The telephone function is secondary these days. These devices are the portable portal to the digital world. Today's smart phone has more computing power than the mainframe that NASA used to send the first rocket to the moon. Billions of dollars has gone into developing this tech, hence the price. I like iPhones. I have an X model, so it's four years old now. I tend to skip a few generations but now I'm thinking going for the 14 when it comes out later this year. I won't be buying it at Oneclick though!
I'm with you. Smart phones are overrated. I guess because I'm a old fart and retired engineer that I use the laptop 3 or 4 times as much as my phone. I even use my tablet more than my phone. I probably get a week on a full charge. For me, calling, texting, and occasional internet access is all I need when I'm travelling. My burner does those things fine, and I don't look like a victim-in-waiting when I pull it out at Caribe (the phone, that is). For someone like you and others who need a palm sized high speed laptop, the burner definitely won't do it. From what I gather about you from other threads, I don't think you spend your days playing solitaire on the phone. If you do, I'll lend you mine!
I had good experiences there, in Santo Domingo. Fixed my computer under warranty, very professionalPunto Mac is also another store authorized for repairments, prices are also crazy.
Thank you Brother. I was just wondering. Your phone gives you internet access so that answers my question. I was trying to figure out how you functioned without internet. But that is not the case.Price depends on the plan but I pay about $5 for 10 days. Hotels/Airbnbs have internet so I don't use it that much. If I'm outside I use it for Uber and some texting.
