Arajet is already flying to Miami (MIA) and Newark (EWR) international airports. Boston will be Arajet’s third city in the United States. The airline also already flies to Puerto Rico (SJU).

The Boston Globe now announces the Dominican-based low-cost airline will land at the Logan International Airport (BOS) starting 20 November 2025. The direct flights will be on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

The one-ways are priced at a competitive US$170 between the two cities. Arajet includes a personal item weighing less than 15 pounds and charges US$20 for checked luggage and US$30 for carry-on.

The airline that began operations in 2022 now flies to 24 cities, in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada. Those booking the Boston flight will be able to connect to other destinations in Latin America from the stopover at the Santo Domingo (SDQ) or from the Punta Cana (PUJ)...

I would be very hesitant to fly Arajet reading recent reviews. Here is one leaving from SDQ .

You won't believe it

Booked a flight on Arajet from Santo Domingo to Bogota. Tried to check in 24 hrs before my flight but it wasn't allowing me. With no way to contact them I went to the airport 10 hours early to try and straighten it out. The representative at the check in desk said my ticket was canceled. And refused to help me rebook. He really just wanted me to disappear. After politely pointing out time and time again that the company really had some responsibility to assist me. He said I could use the courtesy phone to call Arajet. I told him as soon as I ealj to that phone you representatives will disappear can you please walk over there with me and get me in touch with your customer service. With more debate he walk over and dialed the number on the courtesy phone and left. I sat on hold for 15 minutes and at 9:00 pm I got dropped. Likely because that's when the lines close in the calling cue. I called back but they were not accepting calls. So in summary they canceled my ticket without notification, refused to assist me at the counter and dropped my call when their shift ended. I don't know why anyone would take a chance with this company after such an experience or after reading this.

Here are a lot more recent reviews..............

I found their customer service to be atrocious. On flights to and from Colombia, by law, they have to allow you to cancel the ticket for a refund up to 24 hours before departure. There is a box that appears on the Manage Booking page for Colombia flights. When I spoke to Customer Service about this, they all said it was incorrect, if I cancelled I wouldn't receive a refund. Eventually I sent a formal looking message quoting the law and this resulted in the refund being processed (I did this for several flights and they refunded each one). But no acknowledgement of receiving my message, they literally kept me waiting two weeks and then popped the refund onto my card.

My tenant was a director of Arajet, lovely Brazilian guy. He said that they had lost a lot of good foreign staff who came at start-up, and they had been replaced with Dominicans.

as far as I know Arajet still only has 10 aircraft, if this is true, you can't add new routes without cutting service on other routes; DR>USA routes are going to be more lucrative, so obviously they are cutting back on other routes like DR>BOG
