I've received an email from in friend in PP, saying the military police advised everybody to prepare for hurricane Debbie, to get enough food, water, candles, etc. in the house.
I'm leaving coming Friday from Amsterdam in Holland, Europe with a stop over at Santo Domingo. We are suppose to arrive in PP at 04.00 PM.
I found information on the possibility that Debbie might hit the north coast, but not WHEN it is expected there. I'm not familiar with hurricanes, since we don't have any in Holland.
Can somebody tell me more about Debbie? How long might Debbie stay in the Carribean? WHEN will it reach DR, if it really does? Any change that my flight might get cancelled, because Debbie is still around on Friday?
Hope to hear more from somebody who knows how long hurricanes are "active" and how long it will stay in the area or when it might reach DR.
