Hello everybody.
I figure this would be a long shot but I'll ask anyway...
I went to a salon here in NYC and they used a Dominican conditioner on me that I love, they wouldn't tell me the name of it or the name brand. I will be going soon and I need to stock up on it.....
It is a green round jar with a White lid on it. It has a picture of a woman with long hair and glasses on-she resemble Sophia Loren a bit........
Any help I would appreciate it, or at least if I can get the brand name (I don't think it's Jael)........
thanks so much!!!!!!

I belong to a hair board also and Dominican conditioners are very popular.. the two more populars ones they discuss are 10 en 1 Super Rinse by Miss Key or sometimes called Diez en Uno and the most popular one they discuss is the Tropical Avocado condtioner... I've never used either one but I know the Tropical Avacado comes in a green and white tub... there's also a Venezuelan version.

My recommendations is to go back up to the salon and see if you can sneak a peek at the name of the conditioner. They love to hide names for some reason.

Good Luck

I don't think it is.

Here's a website that sells conditioners from DR and other places, it has a pic of the tropical Avacado, but I don't think it's the one you're looking for, but on the hair board I belong to, the rave about it.. Maybe you want to check out some hair boards to see if you can find it?

What keeps Dominican womens hair from getting frizzy?

I travel to DR at lest once every two months and I have notice that my hair GROWS as soon as I get off the plan :( I have naturally curly hair and I normally get it blown straight but for some reason my hair can not handle the humidity in DR. I have notice that the women over there can be working out riding on a pasola and their hair stays beautiful...what do, they use!!! I need to know :)

Their hair is used to the climate and some also relax their hair so the hair stays nice and straight. I have wavy hair and I have to get it done every other day when visiting the DR. Nothing they use on me works. So I either get it braided, or put up with really full hair for two weeks.
