Bachata - "Best of " compilation albums?

Hi,

I recently travelled to the DR and enjoyed my time there enormously. I heard a lot of Bachata and liked it from the start.

I would like to add a few Bachata CD's to my collection. The problem is, I don't know where to begin when I look on ITunes etc.

Can anyone please give me some advice of a few "greatest hits" collections of Bachata music by various artists just to get me started?

bachata mix.

the best bachata is antony santos hes the king, but others like aventura, zacarias ferreira, yoscar sarante, prince royce, optimo, elvis martinez, frank reyes, raulin rodriguez, and many more. if you have an iphone download dj lobo he has like 100 bachata mixes.

Hi armanipapi and thanks very much for your response. I will be sure to follow up on your advice and start exporing the music a bit more (I just didn't want to start downloading stuff blindly as this would result in a very hit and miss outcome) The only album I have downloaded at present is "Super Bachata Classics" by various artisists and it's pretty good. I like one of Antony Santo's songs on that album a lot and have a few other favourites by Jimmy Bauer and Daniel Santacruz.

I've only been to the DR once, but I loved it from the start, had one of my best trips ever there and I can't wait to go back every time I hear some Bachata. I just need to learn to get the dance right as my knowledge of Salsa and Brazilian Forr? did not translate as well as I had hope for the last time!

FrostWire search "Bachata" or the name of your favorite and you will find 100's of them.

Thanks Eddy, I'll check that link out. Good video, I learned (belatedly) that it's that little flick or tap of the hips that they do in Bachata which threw me off when I tried to dance it at a club on Avenida Venezuela. I'll work on it for my next trip and I won't have any excuses the next time!

I just placed an order on Dominican Bookshop and found this bachata mix there and added it to my order. Haven't received it yet, but you can't beat the price Bachatahits 2007

PS. I see they have Aventura on sale too, it was $20 a few days ago, now it's $5.50. Just ordered it

wow...I need to say it's great topic...I always loved bachata dancing, but unfortunately I rarely succeeded to dance it.
I mostly prefer Juan Luis Guerra albums.
