If you don't stay at a hotel or resort on the beach, what kind of beach access is there? Can you use the hotel/resort facilities - beach charis, umbrellas, bars, etc.?
All beaches are open to the public but beach chairs are owned and supervized by each hotel. There are public Dominican beach bars at the far end of Playa Dorada off the complex area where you can buy a meal or a drink and talk to the locals. It's fun.
You could get a day pass and then all your drinks and meals would be included....and chair The beach bar at Dorado Club will let you buy drinks and food....and it's really excellent....esp the chicken at the beach bar.... Hope this helps...
