Ps just googled it didn't know they spell it "congrí". It's my old NY ear.

Yes, it’s Arroz Congrí or Arroz Morro both are used. Absolutely delicious BTW.

Here is a video on Panamanian slang. I think the You Tuber gave a good overview meaning her selection of words, expressions and examples are very good. It’s good to learn and understand slang but you also have to know how to use it when you are learning a language. Panamanian Spanish falls under the umbrella of Caribbean Spanish but it is different from the Antilles.

A simple breakdown in terms of linguistic zones:

La capital - or ’city’
Interior
Lejos (my description).


The You Tuber does not sound like she is from the capital to me. I would say more interior. I could be wrong. Great job on the video though.
