HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM BOCA CHICA BEACH RESORT. HOTEL ROOMS ARE OK, FOOD NOT TOO GOOD SAME DAY AFTER DAY AND THE DRINKS ALL TASTE THE SAME. THE ANIMATION STAFF ARE VERY GOOD AND WORK REALLY HARD TO MAKE SURE YOU ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY. WE VISITED THE HAMACA BEACH HOTEL AND WILL BE STAYING HERE NEXT TIME WE VISIT. IT IS A MUCH BETTER COMPLEX. IN BOCA CHICA ONCE THEY KNOW YOU ARE A TOURIST YOUR PRICE FOR DRINKS WILL GO UP. ON THE WHOLE A GOOD PLACE AND IDEAL FOR SANTO DOMINGO. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE ASK

The beach is about a five min walk from the hotel via a private walkway. Security is good. The beach is clean and safe. Food is okay not much variation. There is a mix of people French, German, Dominican, English, Swedish. The entertainment is very good. Plenty for children. Outside of the resort some of the areas can be quite poor. The local transport to santo domingo is very Good clean and very cheap, There is lots to see and do. Hope you enjoy your trip.
In spite of the important number of holiday-makers in this big-hotel , are the structures adapted in consequences (restaurants, swimming pools etc....), should we wait to be been of use to the bar or the other one? ? Will I need an European electric adapter?
Tell me about the beach ( are there so much people in Week-end, and the Itinerant salesmen !!!). Is the beach private ???
