The Dominican Republic and Brazil solidified their commitment to enhanced bilateral cooperation with the signing of several agreements during the visit of President Luis Abinader and Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez to Brasilia, Brazil for the Brazil-Caribbean Summit on 13 and 14 June 2025. The two governments signed two memorandums of understanding aimed at bolstering public sector efficiency and refining diplomatic education.
The agreements seek to modernize state governance and foster a more effective, inclusive, reliable, and sustainable public sector that prioritizes citizen-centric services. Key areas of focus include digital government, innovation, human resource management, and the promotion of diversity.
