I love it!!

I love this resort!! I have stayed there twice so far, and I will be back there in 44 days. I have never had anything to complain about but I have heard lots of people complaining about it. If I really had to say something about it that annoyed me, it would be that the showers are cold after about 7pm..but a cold shower is better than non at all i suppose.

The food, entertainment and drinks are great. The pool is huge and there are lots of things to do during the day. It is really close to Sosua and Cabarete with free buses to each. We hire a car while we are there so we are always out and about.

We had a beach front villa when we stayed there in August for 3 weeks. It was really nice, not that we were in the room that much. Why would you be when you are in the Caribbean???

Apparantly it has been demoted from a 4 star to a 3 star, but it is still miles better than another hotel we stayed in in Playa Dorada. I would recommend Breezes to anyone!!

I was there this past July and got married. I had 22 guests come as well with me. Everyone had a great time :)
I have heard people complain but no complaints here!!
The resort area is huge, big pool and I loved the beach!
I was in building 9 had a king bedroom with living area big room. It was clean every day, i had a leaky AC but I didn't care I was outside enjoying the beautiful DR :) Leaky AC was the only complaint from my family otherewise we all had so much fun!! I did see building 10 and 11 the new ones look really nice but they have two double beds no king bed.

I have been there for the past three years in a row and I love it. The only complaint we had was that sometimes you had to wait forever for towels. We had problems with coffee mate and stuff so we solved it by sometimes robbing them off the maid cart. I found the food to be pretty decent, it is a buffet after all. The staff were great and Ramon buzzing around in the morning whistling and singing is a wonderful "good morning". I spend most of my time at the beach so I eat at the beach restaurant which is pretty limited but still good. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat but I have to go to Cuba in 2007 for my nephew's wedding.

Just heard Breezes has been sold, possibly to the Barcelo group? Has anyone heard what is going on there? We are booked there for the 17th of January for 2 weeks. This will be our 3rd trip there and we were happy with the hotel and staff. Recent reviews on other sites have been horrendous so getting a bit worried. Any info appreciated.

Thanks, Cat

Thanks for the clarification. I need to check in here more often! Just hope it will be as enjoyable as past stays.

We will be arriving in a couple of months for 9 days and same as anywhere you can read bad reviews etc, but it is what you make of it.

does anyone know if they have drink machines (pina colada, daiq etc) there where you can add your own rum? In Bahamas the resort offered it this past February and we are hoping to enjoy that aspect of the vacation again.

Also they had absolute and champagne out on the buffet in the morning and wondering if they do it here? (not for me:cool: ) but for others in group that like the morning cocktail. Any info anyone can give me about the resort would be appreciated. I cant wait.
there will be 22 of us on this trip.
