Buses from Playa Dorada to Punta Cana?

Hi,

Is there anyone who knows which possibilities there are to go by bus from Playa Dorada to Punta Cana? How much is it and how often do they depart? How much is it to go by taxi?

Both Caribe Tours and Metro Tours have terminals in the Bavaro/Punta Cana area and the city of Puerto Plata (Playa Dorado is located nearby). Service is generally hourly during the business day. However, your question about the taxi fare leads me to believe that you are possibly not aware that the distance between Playa Dorado and Punta Cana is somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 Kilometers ( 300 miles ) one way. Given the driving conditions, expect to spend about eight hours if you go by car ( i.e., forget about a taxi ) and more for bus service due to stops, schedules, etc. You also have the option to fly from Puerto Plata, which, if time is a problem, may be your best option.
