CAIPS notes-re Immigration Canada

When should a person order their capis notes, timeframe wise. Our file has been in process since april9th. Does anyone have any insight?? Thanks

Hi Racquel,

You can order your CAIPS notes at anytime and as many times as you like.

It is always hard to say when the right time is.

I wouldn't order them prior to 3-4 months as there wouldn't be any info available for you.

Previously, we could estimate that they opened your file every 90 days. Since the earthquake and transition of the files to Santo Domingo, we haven't seen enough to know the patterns.

If you applied in another month you might get a B file number and possibly a BF date.

Many will say around 6 months is a good time to order them.

Hi Raquel,
Although there is no right answer, i would say dont order the notes till you have at least been approved as a sponor and they have had your file in the next step for at least three months. I ordered mine at appx. 6 months and at that point it was very insightful. They had alot of notes already.
