I know this topic was talked about for other places,

But I was just curious if anyone would share what they thought the best calling cards to the DR were from Toronto.

I have been shopping around to find the best one. But I find one time it works good, then the next time I buy the same card it has less minutes.

I have tried

-Maximum Caribbean
-Caribbean Queen
-IC Caribbean

Any one else have any luck finding a good calling card?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! ;)

Hola!

I live one hour north of Toronto and I use "Selectcom" for my cell phone. Call customer Service @ 1 866 722-5553. It's 17 cents per minute. It's not actually a phone card...you get a monthly bill.
And I use Rogers(formerly Sprint) for my home line. It's 13 cents per minute.

If anyone knows of anything cheaper....let me know por favor.

Janni ;)

I just signed up for PinCity today ! I like it, because they charge 0.11 cents per minute (landline or cellphone) . I looked up Toronto to call DR it shows the same rate.. Try it out! I have the calling card feature, if I like their service I might sign up for their long distance service.

I have thought about not using calling cards and just getting a long distance plan on my cell phone. Without a plan it is 80 cents a minute (I found that out the hard way! YIKES!), and my home phone would also be about 13 cents a minute.

I have thought long and hard and think that if I do it direct from my phone and not using a calling card, I feel that I may take advantage of it and talk a little to long. At least with the calling cards, once it tells me I have 2 more minutes on my card, I know i better get off or its gunna hang up on me.

I think I may overuse if I get a regualr bill each month. I do that normally on my cellphone without the long distance calls to the DR.

I use telehop and get a monthly billing and the rate is $0.14/ minute.
I do believe they have a cell plan as well but don't use it.
