I use Ace Renta Car located at the POP airport. (you can find them on the internet) My present rental car is a Kia Porto something or other and is costing me $20.00 US per diem. A good little car, somewhat like driving a roller skate. If you intend doing some serious driving in the DR, then consider upgrading. My roller skate is good between Sosua and Caberate, but I wouldn't like to use it to go any further.

Rent a cheap car usually works out cheapest. You could rent an expensive one but that might work out slightly more expensive. Hope I helped:ermm:

the cheap ones fall to bits in the middle of nowhere - this happened twice, the battery wasnt fixed inside the car, check battery doesnt move
