HI, I'm currently working at the vacation club at Club on the Green. It's a beautiful resort, good food and restaurants. Side trips will be introduced by your representative but you can also book the same ones at the shopping plaza. These include jeep safaris (4x4 and Monster Jeep) Funny bikes- 4 wheel motorized that you drive through the countryside. Possible a trip to Samana for whale watching but Im not sure when the whales are due to arrive-Usually late Dec. early January. There are organized excursions to Puerto Plata and Sosua but you can really see them on your own. Catamaran trips, Santiago and Santo Domingo and etc. Excursions run from about $35 US to 65 or 70 US. Check on the Canadian exchange rate before you leave. Sometimes you have a better exchange value changing Canadian dollars to pesos, rather than buying US and then changing. E-mail me a few days before you leave and I'll let you know the exchange at the time. Banks in the hotels generally give the worst rate, followed by Banks at the Plaza and then the best rates are given by the "Exchange Banks" in Puerto Plata. Get ready for a good time. Joanne
