Most of the reviews I have read, before and after my trip, rated the food and service as good. In fact, you'll notice that 95% of every review of every property, gets a rave review. That's why you really need to read between the lines. Most people will have a good stay no matter where they go, and a lot of people only take vacations once a year so they don't have much to compare by. However, after I posted my report, I received a barrage of E-mail from various people, almost all Americans, that in summary, told me "I totally agree. I thought I was the only one that felt that way".
This is a budget property, so you get what you pay for. We paid US$65 per person, all-inclusive (room, food, drinks, non-motorized water sports, etc.). The top resorts on the island charge triple that, and resorts on other islands that I have stayed at charge 5-6 times that amount, per person. So overall, as beautiful as the place is, this is a bargain and you really can't go wrong.
