casino Cabarete

Does someone knows what happens with the Casino in Cabarete?
It is close now for 3 months, and what I hear it don't re-open no more.

A family member used to work there. I don't expect it will reopen unless and until there is a resurgence of tourism. Like the Nikki Beach Club, it did last longer than I expected.

It closed when Hurricane Irene passed by....did some damage to the signs.....they were supposed to have a gentlemans club upstairs......that never happened either.
Russians? They own the casino? hahahahahahaha

Gentleman's club did open for a short time. The whole thing is now closed with no plans to open.

The Gentleman's Club was widely advertised up and down the main road, apparently opened for the proverbial blink of an eye, and then closed. I can't believe you need a strip club in the DR! What a weird idea that was!

Did anyone actually go to the strip club and see someone strip? We went and it was a night club/dance club.....every one headed over to the gentlemans club after the beach bars closed. We didnt see not one girl strip......
