Casino lingo

Hi guys and Gals

Me and the missus are lucky enough to be heading to Punta Cana for a week of AI bliss at the Excellence hotel.

We are basically casino addicts and will properly end up in the casino every night playing blackjack LOL

I have been trying to learn basic spanish using Pimsleur but I would really appreciate any advise on how to say casino things. Like in Blackjack, hit/stand/double etc

You will find most if not all of the dealers speak English. And the other players will mostly be speaking English as well.

Also, many of the casino terms are not translated and they use the English term anyway! Have fun and good luck!

split - abierto
double - doubla
hit - I don't even know to be honest, you can say like "darme" which loosely means give me one. but I normally just check the table.

with that being said DMV123 is right. Nothing wrong with learning some spanish, but in the casino it's really not necessary.
