Well its time to vist DR, but I've gotten so many mixed reviews on Catalonia Bravaro. That is where my Girl friend booked us to go. She did it with out really looking to see what we are going to get into. All she saw was the Price (which is not bad if you ask me.) Well What should i expect from this place? What should i Do or not Do there? Someone Let me know The Truth about this All enclusive Resort. Thank you so much.

What are you looking for? My opinion is that it is right up there with the best Punta Cana has to offer regarding large beach resorts. My sons (9 and 11) loved it when we were there about three years ago, the food was good and there was always something to enjoy amidst the variety. Note that this is a Spanish hotel company, so Spanish dishes may prevail on the menu as when we were there. The a la carte restaurants were very good, and there was one bar that had foreign drinks included. Make reservations as soon as you get there for more variety. There was then a crepes restaurant for those hungry not at usual hours. Beach is fine. Since the hotel has been open for several years now, the people are well trained. I do not think there is a better bargain today in quality/price than Dominican resorts. My only advice for a more pleasurable stay, is to request a room away from the entertainment areas (pool and show stage) unless you are there to party all the time.

Thanks for the INFo

The trip has been booked already, so i really just want to prepare myself for this trip. Im usally the one that does all the investigating. I like to read what other people say and what they went through, So any info is good for me. Thanks. SO about the resturants, Everyone says to make reservations early, are these resturants part of your inclusive stay? And which ones do you recomend? I will eat anything (by the way thanks for leting me know about the crepes restaurant) How was the room you stayed in?

We ate at the Japanese restaurant because we were there only three nights. This gave us access the restaurant with the foreign drinks, which we appreciated. There you can get the premium brands of rum and foreign drinks. The other plus of the a la carte restaurants is that they are smaller -- you are at a restaurant not eating in a large buffet style area. But I am aware that the buffet area now is offering meals that are cooked right before you, so sometimes the buffet options may be even better than the restaurant. The difference is in the quiet atmosphere. If you will be there seven nights, choose to dine at the restaurants three out of the seven for a change.

Regarding the room... our room was just fine and comfortable.

Come with an open mind to enjoy -- the weather should be great, the food is good, the beach is good, you are free to stroll... this place can be romantic.

Was there this past Feb. BEAUTIFUL BEACH! Our room was excellent (junior suite) I think they all are. Breakfast was about the best of the buffets. Place is very nice. Pool is winderful too! If you get a room by the beach and enjoy and early morning breakfast, you will have had your morning excercise before breakfast! (large campus). The French restaurant had the best food - just my opinion and yes DO book early!!

YES, they are included, they present you vouchers upon check in.
At least they did with Apple Tours. (You may want to check on that.)

ENJOY!!!!
