changing Canadian Government checks

Hello , I have a friend of mine who collects on his S.S. Does anyone know where She might beable to cach these checks? Thanks

As most banks here will hold up a cheque deposit for at least 45 days there are better ways.
Advise your friend to direct deposit in Canada and just use a bank card here for withdrawals. If they use Scotia Bank in Canada with a minimum balance there is no charge for withdrawing here at Scotia Bank.

Cashing Canadian here is penal.... I doubt many will accept it

Banco Caribe used to but it's a 45 to 60 day hold on the funds.

I went all over the place when starting my payments....

US bank... DR bank.
US they can do.... DR they cannot

The simplest is as suggested above....
Cdn deposit.... convert to US at will or as drawn at any foreign ATM

Yes, my Cdn bank is Scotia and I have US & Cdn accounts
