Anyone have any tips/advise/experience as to where to change damaged peso bills? One 1000 bill has two edges damaged and one is 1/3 cut vertically. Checked with Banreservas as per recommendation, they would not do it. Thanks!

Try again as that is the only place to go.

On the cut one, put a piece of Scotch Magic tape(green box) on the back and spend it.

Actually this is the only Bank (Reservas) that is obligated by Law to receive damaged bills if they are still identifiable. If you are bored, go there again and make some noise. Otherwise just do what "Big" recommended.

Remember the 20-peso notes several years ago? I had one in my wallet during that time and a corner of it broke off! That plasticy paper was the worst, no wonder they didn't last long! As I recall, I exchanged it at Banco Popular (I had both pieces) while doing other transactions.

Yet another reason why I bank with them. I've had to exchange torn bills with them in the past and it's never been a problem.

Yes, this was pretty much the info I had... I will try to fix them a bit and try again. Or I just might donate to the church my MIL goes to as suggested... Cannot do Big's second suggestion as I don't smoke... But the first one is fine...
