Cheap Airfares

I have searched and searched for reasonable airfares to the DR in May with little success. I think I can find a good price from San Diego into Miami. Does anyone have recommendations for a flight from Miami into Purto Plata. We're dying to go windsurfing but are on a limited budget. Thanks, Regina

Try searching the DR1 airline page at http://www.dr1.com/airline/default.shtml Try also flying into Santo Domingo. Then you should spend one night to see the capital city, first in the New World, site of the 2003 Pan Am Sports Games, and take the US$5 Caribe Tours bus to Sosua, and then a taxi or minibus to Cabarete. It's a four hour trip, but if time is not at a premium, it is also an interesting trip. You get to see gorgeous green scenery.

I agree with DR1. You could take APA or AeroMar out of Miami to Santa Domingo. Believe AeroMars walk up fare is about $250 U. S. Staying overnight in Santo Domingo was fun. My wife and I took the Metro bus directly from Santa Domingo to Puerto Plata and then a taxi to Caberete. The Country is truly beautiful and we really enjoyed the comfortable bus trip. We also enjoyed the sight seeing in Santo Domingo.

I tried the site Tuesday night and it worked but since yesterday there's no information available. The answer is "page expired" ?????
