Cheap hotel near US Consulate?

I need to go to the US consulate on Tuesday and I'm looking for a hotel to stay 1 night that is not too far away and not very expensive. I did see Aparta hotel Plaza del sol on Jos? Contreras for 45 dollars but it seems like a long walk and from the map it looks like it's a one way street. Also, from the consulate on maximo gomez how do I get to a bus station to take me back to santiago?

The Facebook page has some recent info on rates, with prices starting at US$50. Best to contact them for specifics.

Jardines del Treatro has a "homey" feel to it. Nice place. The rates are $50 a night and $60 (w/kitchen). Many people stay there who are applying for visas at the Consulate. It's literally right across the street from the Consulate.
