Coastal Petroleum Dominicana (Propagas), the private supplier of 60% of the propane (LPG) supplies in the Dominican Republic, denied there is a gas shortage and shared the programming of shipments.
Refidomsa, a Dominican government entity, imports the remainder 40%. During the 3 February 2025 weekly press conference, said that it was fake news that Refidomsa has difficulties in paying its suppliers. Leonardo Aguilera, president of Refidomsa, said in the entity’s 54 years of history it has never had problems paying suppliers and this administration has continued the practice with payments carried out in 30 days.
