gary, it is beautiful. You are five minutes from Sosua, and five minutes from Cabarete. You can get to either place for 5pesos on public transit. You will have more beach, drinks, nightlife, windsufing, kite boarding, and meet more people in these two places than you can possibly imagine. Coconut Palms itself is not in a town, so it is quiet and peaceful.

Gary, My family and I have been to The Coconut Palms three times. The resort might not be the fanciest resort you have ever been to but the staff there is fantastic. Nicholas and Manuel are great at the bar and Pedro who heads the waitstaff at the retaurant are all great people. We just returned at the end of June and our stay was great. The rooms do not have air condtioning but it cools down at nite so as it is not needed. The food at The Palm Room is good and very affordable. They offer a meal plan but if you don;t plan on eating there every nite I would not get it. This is a smaller resort and very quiet. It is a short walk to the beach but you can also take the transportation the resort has to the beach. Tell everyone Papa from Pennsylvania says ola. I hope you enjoy the resort as much as we do.
