I currently live in Puerto Rico, and although the coffee here is Ok, I prefer certain coffee brands in the DR. Also, most of the coffees here in PR are blends from different countries (Peru, Colombia, etc).

Dumb question: how can I resell coffee from the DR here in Puerto Rico?

As an example, I like cafe Santo Domingo. Assuming it's not sold in supermarkets here in PR, how can I distribute that coffee here?

Assuming it can be done, Is it worth it?

You can buy as much you want and sell locally.
But most, if not all, DR coffee brands are already signed with a distributor in the region.

If no licensed distribution is in place, then you can contact each brand direct to obtain that importer contract for the country.

Amigo foods in Doral, Florida, has been distributing DR coffees in all of the US for a while.
I’m not aware of PR.

Coffee imports are regulated due to competition with local industry.

Café Santo Domingo is the easiest Dominican coffee brand to find because it has a market share of over 90% and there are packets in every room in all or most resorts, but a walk down the coffee isle in any major Dominican supermarket reveals there are several Dominican coffee brands plus the imported ones. Many of the other Dominican brands may be more to your liking. They could present opportunities for importing into Puerto Rico, if they aren't already.

Man, make a trip up to Jayuya and try one of the local coffee there. Spend the night at Hacienda Gripiñas, a converted plantation.

My favorite is 3 Picachos.

It's distributed every day to the colmados and supermarkets and the entire town smells like coffee every morning.
