Is it true that if you are a Dominican Republic resident you can go to a Dominican college for free? are there stipulations? anyone coming from any school as long as they have a diploma? Is it the government paying for tuition? Is it tax money?

I've never heard of this. However I know that la UASD is the university where lower resource folk go to. It's not free but it's the cheapest.

UASD is not free but the fee was, as of 2005, 6 pesos per credit hour. UNIBE, and probably other private universities, offer scholarships to impoversished but scholarly Dominican students.

ok...the 6 peso deal is what they must have been telling me about. does it have to do with your income level or can anyone pay this much?
