You have to go online and check.
What I do is click for one of the Continental specials usually displayed in a box on the upper right hand corner. First click for a special to anywhere, Europe, Mexico, it doesn't matter. When the next screen pops up edit your selection. This method will give you prices month by month. Also change your duration of stay. Sometimes leaving a day early or staying a day longer makes a big difference in the price.
If you need more detailed info on using this method just ask. Searching this way is so much better than the +/- 3 day search.
I got a ticket for the last week of this month. My ticket was $50 more because I elected the 6pm flight returning instead of the 12 noon flight. It has been a long time since I have seen tickets this low.
Sorry Talldrink looks like you missed the sale. For the life of me I just can not figure out airline pricing. In a 24 hour period the cheapest ticket went up $34.
Try using my method I mentioned in the other post. It really works well if you have flexible dates. I have seen ticket prices change $85 from night to morning.
A day late and a dollar short............ Continental ran the special for just about 24 hours. I know, crazy............... I got mine. LOL
That's pretty normal for that route. The only time I'v paid more than that was Christmas week. Last year they CO was pretty generous with First Class upgrades on that route when you check in online a popup came up several times "Do you want to upgrade to First Class for $80USD", but didnt get any of that this year.
That is usually the price +/-. As mentioned Christmas time the price sky rockets and also during the summer months tickets are usually $100 more.
You can do a month by month price search using the method I mentioned in post #3 of this thread.

Bah! Wish I got that pop-up! Would have done it in a hearbeat. That happened to me when I flew to Peru upon check-in. Was checking my bags and on the check-in screen it asked me if I wanted to upgrade to first class for $100. Couldn't say no.
You will have to go for Christmas or your honey is gonna get sad if don't spend this time with his family and friends.

He's actually looking forward to Xmas here with us. He has a few of his friends that are alone here (doing 'papers') and my family and I do a great Dominican Style Christmas here.... We have a great time, better than in DR :bunny:
$357.80 booked Tuesday includes a $20 fee for using a human..... needed to process a credit.

Tuesday-Wednesday departure and return are usually your lowest prices. I consider anything under $400 with taxes a decent fare. Just wait till you see the prices for mid June to the 1st of September, whew.....buckle your seat belt!!!!!
I agree with that..... +/= $350 is a decent price
CO wanted $350 EACH WAY for my dog last November.... I drove to Fla and took AA... $150 each way, plus I got to board in daylight ! Not 7am
