Can anyone tell me how much does a pint of blood cost and any of the 13 blood bank locations around Santiago ? A 3 yr old child is in need of a pint in Aturo Grujillon and the mother says they told her 3600RD ....

This sounds like a reasonable figure: the price depends on demand/supply and so rare groups like O- are more expensive and can go for up to 10-15K pesos per pint or so I heard, while more common groups like O+ are much cheaper and closer to the price quoted above.
Be careful here with blood type determination.

some places blood drives are getting less and less good donations... a young man i met told me his church group ran a drive...and 80% was discarded...8 out of ten donations..bad... about 100 people for a saturday and 80 bad...all were given juice,cake, a present etc for their donation,,,
