What speed are you paying for? 1 Mbits/s? If so that is what you are getting and yes 1 Mbit/s is too slow to stream and will be slow for many web sites. You might want to try 4 Mbits/s

I had Delancer for internet but dropped it because it was terrible. Last week I got an Orange flybox (only 895 pesos a month) and it works much better than the Delancer service, although, I'm told it depends on your location for how well it works.

I have cable Atlantico at a speed of 2mb. I am able to stream Netflix and NBA League Pass. NBA LP buffers sometimes but Netflix and Youtube are fine. I pay 65us per month for the service. The speed is consistent and I have not had any outages for the 3 months I have been using them.

Thanks. I am in Sosua. Sounds like I need to go up to $65 us per month for 2mb. Does anyone have any higher and what is the mb and cost. Do you think it's worth it?

DeLancer is always having problems in keeping the promised speed. In Las Canas in La Mulata they are paying for 10MBit/s, but often getting 5 to 7.

Infinity Blue and the surrounding areas suffered DeLancer outages in the last 4 days.

Codetel/Claro - in some places are better, in others - worse.

Orange 3G is a joke.

There is no real competition for internet in this country. Stick with what you have and check the speed frequently, if it is 20-30% slower than you pay for - complain. That is all you can do.

I am just down the road from Infinity Blu, near the Mary Rose Hotel. I am using Cable Atlantico, I am not sure is that is actually Delancer? I have had it for 3 months, I have had one outage of an hour but other than that, always on. My speeds are quite consistant...either slightly above or slightly below the 2mb.

Another thing with Cable Atlantico, they give you an American IP address which helps with things like Netflix. It also hurts for things like NBA League Pass as now I am subject to Miami area blackouts.

check where the cable comes in... if it is a black and a white cable it is chinese crap.... they replaced mine with a new single white one, and I have no probs....

3mbs... sometimes a bit slower on Sundays... together with cable tv it costs me around 100 $. Sosua, La Mulata, DeLancer

oh, one complete outage in 10 months now for about 2 hours.
