Dial-up access outside Santo Domingo?

Hi, I'm traveling around the country and am urgently looking for a solution to dial up to the Internet from outside Santo Domingo. The two "big ones" seem to be too screwed up and bureaucratic for this: Codetel only mails out Internet packages (never received one), and Tricom wants to "install" the service "at home" (i.e. my hotel), and then be notified of each change of address every couple of days. Yeah sure!

The only somewhat reasonable ISP I have found is Platinom.net, but they just offer a dial-up connection in Santo Domingo. Hotels from outside SD charge an average of five pesos per minute to call to SD... that's okay for a day or two, but not for several weeks!

I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation. Is there a private, nationwide, non-bureaucratic ISP offering dial-up points all over the country, or at least through a local rate number (if there is such a thing)?

Thanks

Jason
