A Dominican athlete made the top 10 of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur for the first time at the Champions Retreat Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The tournament was played from 30 March to 2 April 2022. 20-year old Rachel Kuehn finished 7th in the tournament played by 70 golfers.

Keuhn is a niece of Jack Corrie, a Dominican Sports Hall of Fame member. Kuehn had competed for the Dominican Republic in golf in the Pan American Games held in Lima, Peru in 2019.

She studies and plays at the University Wake Forest in North Carolina. She is ranked 10th by the World Amateur Golf Ranking. In March she was won the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge in which 84 players from US universities participated. Last year, she won the Chris Tar Heel Invite.

She competed for the Dominican Republic in the Pan American Games. She should be a dual citizen -- US and Dominican Republic, but her sports citizenship is Dominican Republic.
