One thing many expats are bound to notice after spending some time in the DR is how widespread lips pointing is among Dominicans. Until now I thought this was exclusively a Dominican trait, but maybe it's Latin American?
George Harris is a Venezuelan stand up comedian. He lives in Miami, Fl and make most of his stand up comedy shows there except a few in other parts of the USA and in Spain. All his shows are in Spanish, hence his audience is overwhelmingly Latin Americans.
Here is the part (video from June 13, 2022) that makes me think lips pointing could be a Latin American trait or at least of a part of Latin America. From 5:15 he comments about lips pointing as a trait of a part of Latin America (his words are "we count with our fingers and point with our lips"). With "we" he means Latin Americans/Hispanics/Latinos, etc.
Anyone noticed the lips pointing in other Latin American groups? In which nationalities is lips pointing common?
