I'm doing a report on newspapers in the DR. Can anyone tell me how pro-, anti-, left, or right the following newspapers are? El Siglo Ultima Hora La Nacion Hoy La Informacion La Noticia Listin Diario El Nacional El Nuevo Diario El Caribe

[DR One]

Newspapers give room in their pages to the pro- anti- left or right groups in the DR. If there is a slant, it is to the business interests of the owners. Note most newspapers are owned by major business groups. Many though will say that one or another newspaper caters to x or y political candidate. Note, though, that political parties in the DR can no longer be described as pro- anti- left or right. I believe this reflects a general trend in Latin America.

The Listin Diario is probably considered more to the right in reporting the news. El Siglo and Hoy were less biased in their reporting. Some are morning papers and the others are afternoon tabloids.
