Coronavirus Bulletin #157 of the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology shows the Dominican Republic has 91,161 confirmed Covid-19 cases, including 600 new cases.
The accumulated incidence of the disease per 100,000 inhabitants as per confirmed PCR tests is highest in the National District and these top 10 provinces: National District (2,482), Pedernales (1,231), Santiago (925), La Altagracia (908), Sánchez Ramírez (842), La Vega (781), Maria Trinidad Sánchez (740), La Romana (726), Azua (727), Barahona (710), and Duarte (718). Santo Domingo province with 675 is in 12th place in the incidence of the disease per 100,000 inhabitants.
The number of confirmed cases depends on the completion of PCR tests. Even the well-off in the Dominican Republic have to wait to get tested or get their test results. There is a long delay in cases pending for results...
