The Dominican Republic and Spain have formalized a bilateral cooperation agreement, setting the stage for sustainable development initiatives over the period 2025-2029. The pact, signed on Wednesday, 14 May 2025 in Santo Domingo by Dominican Republic’s Minister of Foreign Relations, Roberto Álvarez, and the Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation Eva Granados Galiano, outlines a framework supported by an estimated EUR110 million investment.

Key areas of focus include bolstering the rule of law, safeguarding human rights, enhancing working conditions, and fostering inclusive technical-professional education with a strong emphasis on gender equality.
