Dominican Republic SIM Cards

I'd be grateful for some advice! I'll be arriving in Punta Cana next week and would like to get a Dominican SIM card as soon as possible (I don't need a phone, just a card). Is there anywhere in the airport or very close by where I could get one? If anyone has information on location and costs it would be very helpful! Thanks.

Go to any Claro shop.

Like NALS sez, you can go to any Claro store or even Altice. But bring your passport. They aren't supposed to sell a DR SIM without a passport or cedula

You can also buy them from street vendors but once you activate the card you have 24hrs to register it with an ID before it gets blocked by the carrier.

In Cabarete we switched from CLARO to ALTICE. Better service for us and not having to deal with the morons that CLARO employs.

Last I checked, Claro resellers didn't do eSIM's, you had to go to one of Claro's main offices (locations on their site). Like Windeguy, I moved to Altice as well (better service) and was able to get an eSIM from a reseller. Took about 10 mins.
