Dominican Towns Should Follow?

Some Dominican towns, particularly those that have tourism as one of its major money/jobs producers, could use sonething like this (Cabarete, Las Terrenas, Samaná, Miches, Sosúa, parts of Puerto Plata, El Cortecito (might have to pick an area by the beach in the Macao/Uvero Alto areas to be developed as snother El Cortecito village), La Romana (center core), Boca Chica (center core and near the beach). Even parts of Santo Domingo such as many parts of the Colonial Zone, Villa Francisca, San Carlos, Gascue and along the malecón could use this.

Hmm, this look very similar to the Puerto Plata City Hall. More than just a coincidence?

Some towns in the mountains such as Constanza and Jarabacoa could use a more Alpine look for the sake of tourism. It could be the Gramado, Brazil of the Caribbean. Maybe not the entire towns, but in their center cores.

Yes, in my time living here there have been several plans to revamp the centre of Cabarete. but it has never happened, apart from part of the sidewalk and street lamps being renewed recently. Paris has rather a different budget!

I would prefer that electricity and water are on all the time before we do what is virtually impossible with respect to upgrading any of those areas.
It would not be impossible, but it is so unlikely as to not be worth worrying about rehabbing those areas any time soon.

A Cabarete Bypass would have been a good thing, but even that is not on the schedules any more along with the new highway from Santiago to the Grand Parada area. Oh well, north coast is almost always an afterthought in the DR these days.

The area between Gaspar Hernandez and Puerto Plata has many new projects, and less water daily. With all the planned works to be done, will there be enough electricity?

But that is just me to be concerned about the most basic things first.
