Curious if there are many dominicans in San Antonio??

Not that I know of. I did live there for 2 years with my ex wife who was dominicana. I am actually in San Antonio right now. if there are any you may run into them at Arjon's when they have the latin bands playing. There was also a couple of puerto rican restaurants.
Rosarios, used to have live salsa and the place in sunset station had some puerto rican events and concerts. I would think any dominicans in SA may be found at these places.

Are you a dominican living in SA?

No, mexican...but my hubby is dominican and we r fairly new to San Antonio so trying to find out for him. We have noticed a fairly large puerto rican population so were curious about dominicans

We have looked EVERYWHERE for Presidente with no luck either unfortunately but we did find a place that sells dominican rums/cigars. We plan to be here for awhile so hopefully over time the very small community that is here will continue grow.

Hey, I'm Dominican and live in San Antonio, actually closer to New Braunfels. I've been here since 1995. I miss the family, mi gente and yes, the food on every corner at the restaurants.. Pero! there are several Puerto Rican restaurants that are really good over here. One is the Old San Juan, La Marginal, and a third one i can't remember the name of LOL. I miss being able to meet up and just talk to my own people if you know what I mean. Get in touch if you're closeby. Im near exit 175 on 35.

That's why a Port Rican family my wife is selling their house here in NC wants to make the move , the guy has been trying to put some motivation in us to follow them to San Antonio Texas.

From here I'll move to Florida only, direct 1 and half hours direct flights to DR.

A friend of mine works for Spec's. None of the distributors in Texas have bought the rights for Presidente, so there is none available in the entire state. For shame! I had to smuggle some back in from NYC when I was there a few weeks ago...

I'm interested in finding out where they sell the rum you mentioned. Please let me know. Thank you.

Texas Dominicans in General

Having lived here all of my life, minus a few years, Dominicans are all over the state of Texas. The reason that it's difficult to find most is because we don't go around broadcasting the fact that one is Dominican. It's one of those things that you just meet Dominicans through meeting people, and it will happen to come up in conversation.

Thus, don't fret. If you're here long enough you will come across the Dominicans. And once you meet one you will come across others. I live in Austin, but have met Dominicans in all of the big cities in Texas.

As far as liquor or cigars, you can find pretty much everything except Presidente. Brugal, Barcelo, Flor Dominicana cigars, etc., all of them are here. It's just a matter of finding where to get them.

And being that you are in San Antonio, you will always have Dominicans that are in the military. So they're there. Just give it some time.
