Are there any direct flights from the DR [any airport] to Montego Bay, Jamaica. A A flies this route regularly, but thru Miami; 6 - 7 - 8 hours. Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

yes from santo domingo to montego bay. with a pitstop in port au prince on air jamiaca. if you are dominican without a us visa you need to go to the jamiacan consul in santo domingo to enter jamiaca and show why you want to go to jamaica and prove of a return flight out of jamiaca. my wife just did this a few months ago.

the funny thing about flights to Jamaica is that they cost like 600 USD or more for round trip, it is few hundred miles away and it is so expensive. By the way, there is nothing worthy out there! :bandit:

Jamaica?? Why?? Family wedding! !

Thank you for the info on Air Jamaica. The schedule , almost diirect, seems convenient. The price?? AA gets $550 - 750, R/T, from any DR airport - to Miami - then Montego Bay. As in much of life, for Air Jamaica it's all the traffic will bear.
* Why would any rational American, lving in the DR, want to visit Jamaica? A family wedding; the site selected by the bride & groom to be, both Americans, liiving in New England. Why? You don't want to ask.
* There is a silver lining in every cloud. At least they don't want to get married in Haiti! Now, that would be a different & an exciting wedding. I'll wager that 65 - 75% of the guests would get out of the country alive! Not many more! Life goes on.
