I have a new boyfriend from NYC via DR. I want to understand the romantic things he says to me. Can anyone tell me some nice romantic compliments I can say back to him? Nothing crude, please. I really like him and want to express that to him in Spanish. Thanks!:bunny:

Guapo, althought it literally means handsome everywhere but the DR. IN the DR it has a connotation of being tough or aggressive.

Thanks, I was looking for a word. But it's not just anger, there's a little something implying that they will act on the anger. Know what I mean?

I have seen the word "guapo" used as well for tough and agressive.

"El era demasiado guapo, todo el mundo le tenia miedo..." for example
that would not suggest only angry (state of mind), but primarily tough and agressive.

I think it depends on the usage and context.

F.E. "Estas guapo conmigo?" are you angry at me? here the usage is "angry". But in the first example, the usage is more of tough and agressive, than angry.
