I can't get a sensible translation from this. It could be quite ancient, but I'm unsure. Spiro, a Greek name, no? Et Dum, French, no? Very old Latin or something, I'm stumped. Got a general idea but nothing I can make sense of.

'Dum Spiro, spero et dum vita est spes est'

possibly needs tweaked a bit but defo got the idea now.
