I wanted to say that I give this hotel 5 stars! We stayed as a family there with about 30 guests from United States and about 10 from the capital for my husband and I's wedding on Feb 22nd. We were there for 6 days. The stay was amazing. The food was incrediable and the rooms and the beds are second to none. The beach is very easily accessable and was beautiful. I have no complaints about this hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in the Juan Dolio area.

I would recommend this hotel is addition to people on vacation beacuse it is so much better than an all inclusive if your purpose for coming is to see the country. If you go to an all inclusive you feel trapped on the resort. This hotel gave us the opportunity to take our guests to San Pedro, Boca Chica, and the capital.

All in all, the hotel was amazing!;)

Wedding at Embassy Suites!

I also wanted to post that we had an amazing wedding at the Embassy Siites Los Marlins in Metro Country Club. The wedding had about 120 guests and was very reasonably priced. The service, food, decorations, coordinater, judge and facility was amazing. Highly recommended!;)

Glad everything went well for you and congratulations.

Can you post the price. We get questions about weddings and what things cost so it would be nice to have some idea.

Thanks

I thought this place was not the Embassy Suites anymore...at least is not affiliated with Hilton anymore right? I was trying to use points to stay there about a year ago and it wasn't available as one of their properties anymore.

Yes it is still Hilton. We used our Hilton Honor points to pay for some of the rooms.

AnnaC,
As far as the price for the wedding, it was 20K dollars for everthing (Ceremony and Reception), but that included all food, drinks, decorations, tons of flowers, chocolate fountain, judge, Perico Ripaio band, DJ, Decorator costs, coordinator, photographer, hair, makeup, honeymoon suite for two nights, Grandball room chairs and tables, and facility for 120 people. That price also included the rehersal cocktail party the night before which had tons of food and drinks for about 35 people. The wedding would have been about 50K if it were in the States. Everything was amazing.

You can do a smaller scale of what I did for about 8-10K if you take out the band, used different flowers, did not have all the items we had, choose a smaller menu, and take out the rehersal dinner. But I would not have changed anything for the world!

In addition, I must add how helpful everyone at the hotel was when we had to reschedule the wedding due to a family death. A family member of mine passed away just 4 days before the wedding and we had to reschedule everything, including all the venders and the rooms for all the guests. The hotel coordinator handled everything. with no extra charge. It was above a beyond what I could have ever expected! I am very grateful to them! Like I said, the hotel and its staff is just amazing!;)
