I need some help with this word. The dictionary defines as "autorizar, facultar. But I doubt this is correct for what I am trying to get across in something I am writing. I am trying to get across that with this program, this life style, she is "empowered" . Modern day usuage of the "empowered woman".
As always thanks in advance,
john

Empoderar (to empower), empoderada (empowered, f.) get that exact meaning across and are definitely used in the context of raising women's self-esteem, control over their lives, etc.

Empoderamiento - empowerment.
