My daughter has been described as being "estrepidosa", my dictionary says deafening or spectacular neither of which indicates an english word that I could use. My Dominican wife says it is a Dominican usage which left me even more puzzled. Any good suggestions?

Just don't let them give her Ridlin. I was a very hyperactive child and my parents put up with it. I'm 45 and I still have more energy than many of my peers so there is no reason to think this is a bad thing.

I have a friend who did give this to her "hyper" son and soon as he left the house he stopped taking it and said he never felt so good in his life. He said he regrets his mother decided to give him the medecine since he was a small child because he never had the energy or desire to do anything and was overweight.

Yes i heard that, that guy Ty from the show Home Makeover had that as a child, I remember him talking about how his mom was very supportive. Those drugs could be damaging to kids.

Gracias, folks. No way would she get ridlin or any other drug through us. My wife agrees that "hyper-active" does seem to describe her. She's almost 4 (my daughter that is) and happily her brain activity does not seem to lag behind that of her body although I wish her voice volume did.

That might be it!!

screw drugs.
when they do that to kids in the US they say that they are disruptive, cant pay attention and hard to control.
I say they are bored and you suck as a teacher because you cant catch the inquisitive nature of a child.

Well you must keep reminding her to use her "indoor voice", she will learn to control her voice.
