This is from quite a few months ago of a Puerto Rican opening an 809 Lounge & Restaurant in Syracuse, NY (it says he’s franchising the 809 from the Dominican owner of the originals in Rochester, NY.) While it says that the new Syracuse location should open “in a few months” from February, it doesn’t say if it should be open by now. He also has experience managing restaurants with several Burger Kings in Puerto Rico in his younger days (not that he’s old or at least doesn’t look like one) and own another restaurant in Syracuse. That’s a good thing because restaurant businesses require not just a lot of work, but they are tougher to become successful than manh other types of businesses. The Syracuse one will have a heavier Puerto Rican influence in the food, but in reality Puerto Rican food and Dominican food are very similar.
If it’s open already, anyone has been there? What about the ones in Rochester?
