Hi!

I'd like some info on some airlines going from either POP to Punta Cana or SDQ to Punta Cana. Is the best to purchase these one way tickets are from POP directly or should I book from here first?? What do rates look like? Any infos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!!!

You can fly Air Santo Domingo or Aero Domca. They fly daily for around 80US and less than 1 hour flight.

The web ad you have is Air Santo Domingo at PUJ. They fly daily from both POP and STI to PUJ. Flights are under 80US and less than 1 hour. Aero Domca does not service PUJ.
They also, oviously fly from SDQ, my error. Last March I beleive it was around 50US from Herrera to PUJ.80US would be from POP.

Is it better to book prior to my arrival or on the spot??
I don't think it will be a problem, it might be easier to wait, than booking on the phone. Last flight to Las Terrenas from SDQ Aero Domca had a full plane(18pass) so they put us remaining 5 on a six passenger twin prop. The flight was AWESOME, it's a good way to see and get the feel of the countrys layout, from the air at 3000ft.
See you in PC....good pick

Thx again for the good info!

I will go to POP first, then Bonao, then Santo Domingo and end up in PUJ and back to Montreal. And yes I heard it was a very good way to see the DR, can't wait, even if my friend is scared as she heard these small aircrafts in DR are dangerous! I don't think it is more dangerous than here. Never done that before and went many times in DR. I'll wait to book from there, maybe I can get better deals, who knows!

It should cost you around 50US, the flight goes along the south coastline. You see many resorts, Juan Dilio, Casa de Campo, La Romana and Saona Isle. I wouldn't worry about the planes, in some cases I think they are better than what you fly over on. It puts a little "adventure" in your trip.
Have fun!
