Forever 21 Store CLOSED

The stores in Agora mall is now permanently closed. I tried to find the reason, can anyone fibd any leads?

I am surprised its a popular store, however maybe too expensive in rent or no one buying anymore?

Many of their stores started closing over 4-5 years ago. The company declared bankruptcy awhile back. Seems little by little they closed stores.

H&M is taking the place of Forever21. Apparently, the same people that have the franchise for Forever21 in the DR have it for H&M too. They are Central Americans (either from El Salvador or Panama.)

If you look at the amount of people buying in Zara, Bershka and Pull & Bear in comparison to the amount of people buying in Forever 21 then I am not surprised that they are closing down. I was in Colombia a few weeks ago and went into a H&M store and the prices were lower than Zara, Bershka and Pull & Bear so they might do well here.

I heard they had filed for bankrupcy.They´re aso closing in other countries, like Peru and Colombia.

Yes, they filed bankruptcy. Several locations have closed over the past few years. It is not a new development; it has been going on for a while.

Shein has become very popular down here and from what I'm told they carry a lot of the same styles as Forever 21 at much lower prices.

There is another store selling that type of merchandise on same side of road as Pricesmart in San isidro. (Fairly close to PS). Always seem to be jammed packed like they are giving the stuff away, Large store but don't know the name, Appears to be all female shoppers.
