I need to write a formal letter and would like help with a few things.

How would I translate "Dear sir/madame" into spanish? How would you begin a formal letter if there is no direct translation for this phrase that is appropriate?

Also, how would you end the letter? How would "Regards" or "Best Wishes"..."(followed by your name, of course) be translated?

Could I use "Sinceramente"?
